GREEN WALLS AND MOSS WALL ART

It has become very popular to want to fill a house with the beauty of nature by incorporating moss and plants. Green walls and moss wall art is one way to do this. One struggle that people have with using live plants is that they need constant update. Many businesses eventually remove them because of the high cost of upkeep. The popular alternative to live plants is to use preserved plants and moss that require no upkeep. Preserved plants are real plants. They are soft and springy, but require no watering. They will last for many years. Here is an example of some preserved moss walls.
Moss wall art comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Wabimoss provides standard sizes of green wall art that comes in sections that are 18", 36" and 54" wide and tall. These can be fit together to make some beautiful plant collages.
The peaceful serenity that you can experience through moss is well known in the temples and shrines throughout Japan. Wabi in Japanese means things that are fresh and simple. It denotes simplicity and quietude, and also incorporates rustic beauty. It includes both that which is made by nature, and that which is made by man. It also can mean an accidental or happenstance element (or perhaps even a small flaw) which gives elegance and uniqueness to the whole. We strive to bring this essence into each of our moss wall art pieces.
We arrange our moss artwork into our handmade frames. We assemble our frames, then char the wood using a traditional Japanese technique called, “Shou-sugi-ban.” This technique not only lends the wood a lustrous dark color, but it fortifies the wood against fire, insects, and time. We finish it off by applying a preserving oil, creating a high-quality and durable frame.
We understand that nature is not only beautiful, but meditative as well. Our moss wall art strives to bring the rich beauty of nature indoors through its vibrant green hues, its rolling hills of moss, and its variety of textures and shapes. Our moss art is like a piece of the forest floor, nestled in your space. Enjoy the soothing aesthetic of our artwork in your home or office, and bring the beauty of nature indoors!
