How you pay Peppaca

Nothing is ever charged to you upfront. Buyers pay you directly, and we bill the 5% referral fee afterwards on a monthly invoice. Here is who invoices you, how to pay it, and when.

When you’re invoiced

Invoices are issued once a month for the previous month’s paid orders, and emailed to you. Payment is due within 30 days of the issue date. Every invoice also stays in your seller account, so you can open, print or re-read it at any time.

5% referral fee on the item subtotal after any discount, plus shipping (excludes tax).

Who invoices you

Japan-domestic sales (JPY)

Invoiced in yen by Zen National Japan 株式会社, our Japanese company. The invoice is a qualified invoice (適格請求書) and prints our registration number, so you can claim the input tax credit; 10% consumption tax is added to the referral fee.

All other sales

Invoiced by Zen National Corporation, our US parent company, in the currency the sale was made in.

How to pay

The quickest way is to open the invoice in your seller account and pay it there — with your PayPal balance, or with a credit or debit card. Nothing is added on top of the invoice total.

Japan-domestic sales (JPY)

Bank transfer to our Japanese bank account is the first choice, and PayPal is available as a fallback. Because the receiving PayPal account is registered in Japan, a yen invoice is received in yen — there is no currency conversion. The bank details and the PayPal address are printed on the invoice itself.

All other sales

PayPal — from your PayPal balance or by credit card through PayPal. The PayPal address to send to is printed on the invoice.

Send the full amount

Bank transfer and payment processing charges are borne by the sender — please arrange payment so that we receive the full invoice amount.

Small monthly balances in Japan

Japan-domestic sales (JPY)

Japan-domestic sellers: if a month’s fees come to less than ¥1,000, we don’t issue an invoice — the balance carries into the next billing cycle. Once the running total reaches ¥1,000, a single invoice covers every held month.
